The Sacramento Kings managed to come back from an 18 point deficit in the first half, but fall victim to a major Milwaukee Bucks run in the third quarter and lose 127-106.

Sacramento had no answer for Khris Middleton & Eric Bledsoe, who combined for 51 Bucks points. The 2018-19 MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, finished with a 13 point, 10 rebound double-double, taking just nine shots on the night.

“We see firsthand why that team only has six losses,” said Kings head coach Luke Walton, “That’s a really good team. What we take from tonight is, they are just solid throughout, and they take advantage of every mistake we made”.

The Kings turned the ball over 16 times and shot just 10 free throws compared to Milwaukee’s 30.

“We scored 64 points in the paint. That’s normally the sign of getting to the foul line. We were aggressively attacking the paint. Normally you should get more than 10 free throws when you do that,” said Walton.

“We shot 10 free throws and they shot 30. I think they made 2 more shots then us, we made the same amount of 3s…” added Kings guard De’Aaron Fox, who felt that the free throw discrepancy was the major factor in the Bucks’ 21 point victory.

Fox nearly finished the game with a triple-double, ending the night with 19 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Forward Harrison Barnes also scored 19 for Sacramento, but appeared to injury his leg at the end of the game. He did not require any significant medical attention and the Kings are optimistic that he will be fine.

Sacramento, now 15-24 on the season, hosts the Orlando Magic on Monday night.
