Kings Legend Jerry Reynolds Joins The Carmichael Dave Show

It’s Jerry Reynolds Week here at KHTK! Each day this week we will be honoring the Sacramento Kings legend as he enters retirement following a fantastic career
This week on The Carmichael Dave Show with JayMarzz, Sacramento Kings legend Jerry Reynolds joined the show to open up about his retirement, tell stories of his time with the franchise and much more.
Reynolds, who started working for the Kings in 1985 as an assistant coached, worked for the franchise until 2020 in a variety of roles:
- Assistant coach (1985-1988)
- Head coach (1986-1988, 1989-90)
- General Manager
- General Manager of the Sacramento Monarchs
- Broadcaster
- Studio host for Kings pregame/postgame
After 35-plus years, the beloved Kings legend is saying farewell, entering retirement after serving as an in-studio host for Kings Pregame Live over the past three seasons.
“I just got so good at nothing, I figured I would do it full-time,” Reynolds jokingly told the guys.
Over the course of the interview, Reynolds shares several stories of his time with the Kings: Delivering the teary goodbye on the seemingly final game in Sacramento, being in the building for the first Kings game at ARCO Arena, the excitement around the late-1990’s teams and much more.
