Are you still feeling the sting from a series of gut punches that took place in the fine year of 2002?
Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross are still feeling the pain.
Not only did the Sacramento Kings fall short of clinching a berth in the 2002 NBA Finals, but other teams from Northern California also had the rug pulled from under them in devastating fashion:
- Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals
- The San Francisco Giants (95-66) blew a 3-2 lead in the 2002 World Series against the Los Angeles Angels (Russ Ortiz gets taken out in Game 6)
- ‘The Tuck Rule’
- The Oakland Raiders lose to Jon Gruden’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII
Dave and Jason reflected on a painful year for NorCal sports during this morning’s show–well, there was more throwing than talking, really.
