2023 NBA trade deadline tracker: A recap of deals from around the league

The NBA trade deadline is officially over and it felt like every team submited deals to the league by noon Thursday, Feb. 9. Well, except the Sacramento Kings.
Here’s the latest trade news from around the league:
NBA trade deadline day
GP2 is going back to Golden State. The Warriors are rerouting Kevin Knox, who they received in a deal earlier in the day Thursday, to Portland along with five second-round picks.
The Blazers are trading Gary Payton II to the Warriors for five second round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Mason Plumlee and Reggie Jackson are swapping teams, that’s according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The San Antonio Spurs are trading Josh Richardson to the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Shams Charania. The Spurs reportedly get Devonte Graham and found second-round picks in return.

Patrick Beverly’s stop in LA did not last long. According to Shams Charania, the Lakers guard is being shipped to Orlando for Mo Bamba.

Shams Charania is reporting Eric Gordon is returning to the Clippers. In a three-team deal that also includes the Memphis Grizzlies, the Clippers are sending John Wall back to the Rockets and Luke Kennard to the Grizzlies. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski says Memphis is sending Danny Green to Houston in the deal.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting James Wiseman, the Golden State Warriors’ former second-overall pick, is being shipped to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal with the Detroit Pistons.
Pistons’ forward Saddiq Bey is heading to Atlanta while the Hawks send “five second-round picks” to the Warriors. Woj also noted that the Pistons are sending Kevin Knox to the Warriors as part of the deal, but “Knox may be moved onto a new team.”

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Portland Trailblazers are acquiring Matisse Thybulle from the 76ers. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the 76ers are getting Jalen McDaniels in the deal.

The Denver Nuggets are bolstering their frontcourt. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers are sending Thomas Bryant to Denver for Davon Reed and three second-round picks.

Hopefully, Jae Crowder didn’t unpack his bags in Brooklyn cause he’s not staying. According to Shams Charania, Crowder is heading to Milwaukee in exchange for multiple second-round picks. The move has expanded to include the Indiana Pacers, who get the Bucks’ Jordan Nwora and multiple second-round picks between Milwaukee and Brooklyn. Bucks center Serge Ibaka is heading to Indiana as part of the deal.

Wednesday, Feb. 8
Before the end of Wednesday, the Phoenix Suns changed the landscape of the Western Conference.
According to multiple reports, the Nets sent star Kevin Durant to the desert for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and four first-round picks. The Suns also get T.J. Warren in the deal.

The New York Knicks reached an agreement to acquire Josh Hart from the Portland Trailblazers for Cam Reddish and a protected future pick, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to KSL Sports, the Utah Jazz are sending point guard Mike Conley to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a three-team, multi-player trade involving D’Angelo Russell and Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Jazz are sending Conley to Minnesota along with Nickeil Alexander-Walker, while Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt will be sent to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Timberwolves will ship Russell to the Lakers as Westbrook heads to the Jazz along with a top-4 protected 2027 first round pick.
Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski reported the deal shortly before the Jazz faced the Timberwolves on Wednesday night. According to Wojnarowski, the Jazz will also acquire Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Kings are close to acquiring 6’8 forward Kessler Edwards and cash from the Brooklyn Nets.
The 22-year-old is averaging 1.1 points and 1.0 rebounds per game over just 14 appearances this season.

In what could be the biggest move ahead of the NBA trade deadline, the Brooklyn Nets sent guard Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and multiple draft picks.

The Washington Wizards sent forward Rui Hachimura to the Los Angeles Lakers. In return, the Wizards received three second-round picks and guard Kendrick Nunn.
