During Thursday’s edition of The Carmichael Dave Show With Jason Ross, Dave was joined by Brenden Nunes, writer for The Kings Herald and host of the Kings Pulse podcast, to discuss his NBA summer league takeaways and why Brenden would still choose Jaden Ivy over Keegan Murray.

The Sacramento Kings are not eligible to qualify for the NBA Summer League’s championship game following a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night.  However, the Kings rookie has shined in his summer league play, holding his own against other notable rookies like Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, and Bennedict Mathurin.

Topics discussed:

  • Thoughts on his first NBA Summer League experience and his takeaways
  • Surprised to hear people outside Sacramento are feeling optimistic about the team
  • Early impressions of Keegan Murray
  • Who has the better upside: Keegan Murray or Jaden Ivy
  • Thoughts on off-season moves to bolster the Kings’ roster
  • How the team will look on the defensive side of the ball
