Sacramento Republic FC has signed goalkeeper Rafael Díaz for 2018.

According to the team’s website, the former New York Red Bulls player also has a club option for the 2019 season, pending league and federation approval. He was in New York for three seasons after a one-season stint with Orlando City SC.

Todd Dunivant says,

“Raf has had three years in the Red Bull system, both with the first team and Red Bulls II, and is a great addition to our goalkeeping corp. His experience in an MLS locker room will be integral to setting the culture for our club.”
