New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski fully participated in practice this afternoon, and told members of the media that he had been fully cleared from concussion protocol to play on Sunday.
“Everything is going good. I am happy to be back with the boys.”
Gronk suffered a concussion back on January 21st, after taking a hard hit in the AFC Championship game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars. His availability for the Super Bowl has been in question over the last two weeks, but Gronkowski has assured members of the media that he is “ready to roll”.
The massive tight end, who is a cornerstone of the Patriot offense, will play in his third career Super Bowl on Sunday. He has eight receptions, good for 94 yards and a touchdown in his two appearances.
