Sacramento Republic FC have signed a new player to the team for the 2018 season: Cole Seiler.

According to the Republic FC’s website, Seiler is a former Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender. He was the 16th overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, and he split his time during the last two years between the Whitecaps FC and WFC2.

While playing with the WFC2, Seiler made 42 appearances, and 25 of which were in 2017.

The defender is well-known for being a workhorse, as he averages 88 minutes per WFC2 game.

In addition to Seiler, Republic FC have also recently added Mitchell TaintorKeven Alemán, and Christian Eissele. The Sacramento Republic FC training camp will start on February 1st, and they host their first friendly 2018 game on February 25 against the LAFC.
