When he was playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick pledged to donate $1M plus all the proceeds from his 2016 jersey sales to help oppressed communities. In 2018, he just completed the promise.
CBS Sacramento confirms that the former 49ers QB just donated his last $100,000 to conclude the donation. He will reportedly announce on Wednesday where the money is going.
Kaepernick said in December: “With or without the NFL’s platform, I will continue to work for the people. Because my platform is the people.”
Tomorrow, I'll be announcing the final $100,000 to complete my Million Dollar Pledge. I'm excited to share this last round of donations with all of you. You can see all 31 donations I’ve made so far on https://t.co/DkVikwsc2E #MillionDollarPledge #10for10 pic.twitter.com/w47VUBZDSQ
