SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
49ers Deebo Samuel carted off with apparent lower leg injury

UPDATE: Deebo Samuel has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
Just when the 49ers were rolling, disaster came knocking once more.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel suffered an apparent knee injury in the second quarter of Week 14’s clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Taking a handoff on second-and-nine, Samuel weaved his way through traffic before being tackled by Bucs defenders Rakeem Nunez-Roches and Anthony Nelson.
The tackle led Samuel to fall awkwardly, bending his left knee in the opposite direction. He immediately fumbled the ball, clutching his knee in the process.

After the 49ers’ medical staff worked on him for a minute, the WR tried to stand up and walk off but couldn’t. Screaming out an expletive, he fell back to the ground in agony. The cart was brought out for the injured 49er, with his teammates and coaches all coming to the field to give their condolences.
Prior to the injury, Samuel was having a great game, scoring the opening touchdown for San Francisco. He is currently at 64 total yards and one TD on the day.
His return is questionable at the moment.
