Nick Bosa joins Justin Jefferson and Joey Slye as the NFC Players of the Month for November.
The San Francisco 49ers‘ defense has held opponents to six consecutive quarter shutouts. And even though this stat extends past November, the 49ers have held opponents scoreless in 11 of the 22 halves this season.
“Bosa totaled 10 tackles, five tackles for loss and three sacks in November and was part of a 49ers defense that held their opponent to 16 or fewer points in each of their three games during the month,” the NFL reported in its press release. “He is one of two NFC players to record a sack in each game from Weeks 10-12.”
On the year, Bosa has recorded 11.5 sacks and 33 tackles. His 11.5 sacks rank among the top five for NFL leaders.
This is the second time Bosa has been named NFC player of the month. The last time he was awarded the honor was in 2019, his rookie year.

Nick Bosa is only the second 49er in franchise history to be named Defensive Player of the Month twice. The other player was Hall of Famer Charles Haley.
On the AFC side, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Chargers safety Derwin James, and Bills kicker Tyler Bass were named players of the month.
