49ers QB Garoppolo Wins Fan-Vote ‘FedEx Air Player Of The Week’ Award

After earning his third straight win for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo took home a fan-voted award for his performance in Sunday’s comeback win over the Tennessee Titans.
Garoppolo, now 3-0 as the 49ers starter, was named the NFL “FedEx Air Player of the Week” for Week 15. The award is voted on by the fans on NFL’s website.
He finished Sunday completing 31 of 43 passes for 381 yards and a touchdown.
The other nominees were Giants’ QB Eli Manning and Jaguars’ QB Blake Bortles.
Garoppolo’s popularity has climbed fast in Santa Clara since he was traded from the New England Patriots on October 30.
At Levi’s Stadium, his jersey was sold out earlier this week at the team store.
Despite having a 4-10 record, Garoppolo has brought life to the “Faithful” and hope for future seasons.
