Even when the 49ers are on their bye week, rumors still circulate around the NFL. This time surrounding former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
With OBJ almost cleared to return to the field, Fox NFL Insider Jay Glazer broke down the wideout’s timeline Sunday, and who could be in the market for the playmaker.
“Odell Beckham, I have learned, will be ready and cleared by the end of this week,” Fox NFL insider Jay Glazer said Sunday. “Full clear, no limitations at all, then after that it’s just up for a team to get his conditioning up and obviously get a playbook down.”
Beckham, 30, has been on the mend since suffering a torn ACL in the Super Bowl in February as a member of the Los Angeles Rams. Due to the nature of the injury, “OBJ” has remained unsigned to start the season, focusing on his recovery and family time for most of the year.
Now expected to be fully cleared in the coming week or so, a line of suitors are expected for his services, including the Red & Gold.

“(It’s) probably going to be a team that can go win a ring right now,” Glazer said. “I know Von Miller was trying to get him up there to Buffalo, a team like San Francisco, the Dallas Cowboys. And he still has some love for the Rams…I think there’s going to be a big bidding war for Odell.”
While it remains unclear if the 49ers and general manager John Lynch are serious about Beckham, the acquisition would be a win-now move for San Francisco, looking to give quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo all the weapons he needs to make a deep postseason run.
No longer a Pro Bowl caliber player, Odell was very effective for the Rams last season, mustering up 305 yards and five touchdowns in eight games with LA.
