Maxx Crosby, Raiders agree to three-year extension

Maxx Crosby and the Raiders have come to an agreement on a three-year, $106.5-million extension to keep the defensive end in Las Vegas.

One of the Las Vegas Raiders’ elite players as of late, defensive end Maxx Crosby, has reportedly agreed to a three-year extension to remain in the silver and black.

According to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, the “Las Vegas Raiders are signing Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to a three-year, $106.5 million extension that includes $91.5 guaranteed, making him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.”

The four-time Pro Bowler has spent his entire season with the Raiders, including his rookie season in Oakland, since being drafted 106 overall by the team in 2019.

As Schefter pointed out, it’s the highest non-quarterback contract in NFL history. It’ll be intriguing to see how that impacts the market for other top-tier defensive players.

It didn’t take long for Maxx Crosby to chime in on re-committing to the Raiders, saying he was “Committed To Cxcellence” and “Committed to Silver & Black” in a social media post.

Owning the 6th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with some serious questions at quarterback, Las Vegas has more work to do in filling out the remainder of the roster. But retaining your best player is always a positive.

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby said quarterback Aaron Rodgers is ready to return with a flourish, and he is hopeful that it comes with the four-time NFL MVP wearing silver and black.

The star pass rusher defended Rodgers Tuesday on own podcast, “The Rush with Maxx Crosby.”

“First year after an Achilles is one of the hardest things to do,” Crosby said. “I think with all the doubt, all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers, ‘Oh, he needs to retire,’ things like that, he’s getting cut by the Jets, I think he’s going to come back and have a — I know he’s 42 or 41, but I think he’s going to have a big year this year, and I hope it’s in our town. That would be legendary.”
