New York Knicks reporter for SNY Ian Begley joins the Drive Guys to talk about the new additions to the Kings coaching staff, Scott Perry and his past with the Knicks, and what Doug Christie can do this upcoming season.
With Perry having worked in the Knicks front office for years, Begley got the chance to know the Sacramento Kings’ new general manager a bit over the years.
Given that, he provided some context on Perry’s perceived strengths and what he could bring to California’s capital as they desperately try to form an identity with the goal of building sustainable success.
Plus, the guys discussed the Knicks’ hot start to their series against the defending champion Boston Celtics and plenty more!

According to ESPN‘s Shams Charania, “The Sacramento Kings are finalizing a deal to hire three-time Chicago Bulls NBA champion BJ Armstrong as an assistant general manager under new GM Scott Perry.”
Between Armstrong and the coaching staff adding Mike Woodson and Bobby Jackson under Doug Christie, the new GM and head coach combo in California’s capital are building their staffs out.
