The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed DL Evan Anderson and OL Kilian Zierer to the team’s practice squad. In order to make room on the practice squad, the team released DL William Bradley-King.
Anderson (6-3, 326) originally entered the NFL after signing with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2024. In 2024, Anderson appeared in 12 games (one start) and registered 24 tackles, 1.0 sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He was waived by the team on August 27, 2025.
A 23-year-old native of Orlando, FL, Anderson attended Florida Atlantic University (2020-23) where he appeared in 39 games and registered 145 tackles, 20.0 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, two passes defensed and three fumble recoveries and earned Third-Team All-AAC honors his senior season (2023).
Zierer (6-7, 312) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. Throughout his two-year NFL career, he has spent time on the Texans practice squad (2023-24) and spent the 2025 training camp with the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns.
A 25-year-old native of Munich, Germany, Zierer attended Auburn University (2020-23) where he appeared in 21 games (16 starts).
Bradley-King (6-4, 265) originally signed to the team on August 27, 2025.

Awaiting a new contract extension, many questioned whether San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings would be active in training camp.
General manager John Lynch told reporters in Santa Clara on Wednesday that Jennings had requested a trade “a while ago” as had been previously reported.
In response to speculation that more than a calf injury has sidelined the receiver for most of training camp, Lynch said, “There’s a lot that goes into that.”
“Both things can be true, you know,” San Francisco’s general manager continued.
“He wants a new contract, and he’s got a hurt calf, so I think people want to assume one or the other. Both things can be true.”
Claiming that they’ve since “moved on from” his trade request, the San Francisco 49ers are “hopeful” but unclear if Jennings will take the field in week one.
Combine his status with Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing, and suspended Demarcus Robinson, and the 49ers’ receiving room is looking thin.
Ricky Pearsall, Skyy Moore, and Marquez Vlades-Scantling are the only healthy wide receivers currently on their roster.
Moore was added roughly one week ago, while Vlades-Scantling’s addition was announced the same day as Lynch’s comments about Jennings.
“He asked for [a trade] and we’ve moved on,” Lynch repeated. “We’re not doing that, so we’re moving forward.”
