Kings reportedly waiving wing Terence Davis

After re-signing with the Sacramento Kings at the end of last season, wing Terence Davis has reportedly been waived by the team.

Michael Scott, NBA reporter for HoopsHype, broke the news on Tuesday afternoon.

Davis spent two and a half seasons with the Kings, including their Beam Team season that broke the playoff drought, but was not re-signed in the 2023 offseason.

More recently, new Kings general manager Scott Perry brought Davis in for the final three games of their regular season. He only saw the floor for roughly eight minutes, and that came in game 82.

Prior to that, he had been rehabbing from an Achilles injury he suffered while playing for Portland’s G-League team in January of 2024.

The move frees up an open roster spot for Sacramento, which has regularly been linked to future Hall of Famer Russell Westbrook.

Could this be a precursor to another move from Perry and the Kings?

Mason Jones, G-League Finals MVP for the Stockton Kings in 2024-25, is reportedly headed overseas for the next chapter of his basketball journey.

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, Jones “is finalising a deal with the Perth Wildcats.”

Last season, his second with Sacramento, Jones averaged 23.6 points and 7.9 assists on 49.2/44.7/79.0 shooting in 27 appearances.

As mentioned, he was a major factor in Stockton’s first G-League title, earning Finals MVP honors.
