Sacramento is rumored to be preparing an offer in the neighborhood of $88 million over four years

The Sacramento Kings are working towards an agreement with Harrison Barnes in the range of four years and $88 million, per our very own Carmichael Dave.

The 27 year-old small forward recently opted out of the last year of his contract that would have paid him $25.1 million in 2019-20. It has been long rumored that Barnes and the Kings were looking for a long-term solution, and it appears that they are heading towards an agreement once NBA free-agency kicks off on Sunday at 3:00pm.

After being acquired in a trade-deadline deal on February 7th, Barnes enjoyed a solid second-half of the season as he averaged 14.3 points, a career-high 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game for Sacramento. Over his 28 games for the Kings, Barnes shot 45% from the field — up from his 40% average in Dallas — and 40% from beyond the three-point arc.

Sacramento has longed for stability at the small-forward position, and loved what they saw out of Barnes in his short stint in the capitol city. With a big offseason ahead, the Kings have their eyes set on their small forward for the next four years.
