Sacramento Kings basketball is back.

Jason Ross and Doug Christie took the time to breakdown every single player on the Kings roster as the season opens up this week, with Sacramento facing the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday evening.

Buddy Hield has an interesting offseason after spending most of the 2019-20 season on the bench behind the recently departed Bogdan Bogdanovic.

With Hield in line to start and play a big role for the Kings, can the 28-year-old sharpshooter put his grudge behind him and help take this young team to the next level?

Hield hit 271 three-pointers last season over 72 games–good enough to place himself 11th on the all-time three-point field goals made in one season list.

‘Buddy Buckets’ drained 278 three-pointers during the 2018-19 season, the eighth-most three-point field goals made in a single season.

His 19.2 points per game average last season was second on the team, only trailing De’Aaron Fox’s 21.2 points per contest.

Hield was acquired in a mid-season trade during the 2016-17 season that sent star center DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans in return for Hield and other pieces that have since left the organization.

Over his four seasons in Sacramento, Hield has been an offensive staple, averaging 17.5 points per game on 44-percent shooting from the field and 41-percent from the three-point line.

After a highly-publicized rift between former general manager Vlade Divac over contract negotiations, Hield was signed to a four-year, $94 million dollar extension last offseason that will run through the 2023-24 season.
