Kings Acquire Guard Terence Davis From Raptors, Waive Parker & Kabengele

Sacramento’s roster is set for the remainder of the season

The Sacramento Kings have acquired guard Terence Davis from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a future second round pick, per Adrian Wojnarowski or ESPN.

Davis, 23, is averaging 6.9 points per game on 41-percent shooting from the field and 36-percent shooting from the three-point line over 34 appearances this season.

After acquiring Davis, Sacramento’s roster needed to be reduced by two players after the team also added Delon Wright, Moe Harkless and Chris Silva in deals for Cory Joseph and Nemanja Bjelica, respectively.

Following the Davis trade, it was reported that the Kings had released forward Jabari Parker and forward Mfiondu Kabengele to make room on the roster.

By not releasing backup center Hassan Whiteside, all signs point to the team making a final run at the Western Conference play-in.

With 28 games remaining in the season, Sacramento trails the 10th seed by three games and the 8th seed by 4.5 games.
