Help is on the way for the Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings will receive some reinforcements in the very near future, quite possibly even as soon as their next game on Wednesday night against the Orlando Magic.

Harrison Barnes

Barnes injured his right foot after taking a bad step on the way to the basket during the closing moments of the third quarter back on November 24th while facing Portland.

The veteran forward has split practice time with G-League affiliate Stockton and the big league team over the past week, with head coach Alvin Gentry telling the media on Tuesday that Barnes is “feeling good” ahead of Wednesday’s matchup.

According to Gentry, Barnes will be a game-time decision against the Magic, but added that the forward will travel on the upcoming three-game road trip.

Barnes will go through pregame warmups before his game availability is determined.

Moe Harkless

The 28-year-old exited Sacramento’s triple-overtime win over the Los Angeles Lakers on November 26th after taking a bad step in the first half.

After missing the past four games due to knee soreness, Harkless has been practicing with the team and is close to a return to action. Like Barnes, Harkless is considered a game-time decision for Wednesday night’s game.

Gentry said that Harkless will travel with the team on the upcoming road trip, meaning that his return will likely come within the next two games.

Tyrese Haliburton

Haliburton was back at practice on Tuesday after sitting out on Monday due to a non-COVID illness.

The second-year guard was feeling the after effects of the COVID-19 booster shot, but said that he was feeling much better after a 24 hour window of sluggishness.

Haliburton will be active on Wednesday night.
