Both players will need to register successive negative tests 24 hours apart in order to return

According to the NBA’s injury report database, Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III and guard Terence Davis have been placed into the league’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols.

Bagley and Davis did not play on Wednesday night and will need to register successive negative tests 24 hours apart in order to return. Sacramento has also been without starting center Richaun Holmes (eye laceration) for the past three games and will be without head coach Alvin Gentry for the foreseeable future after the 67-year-old tested positive for COVID-19.

The NBA is currently being affected by a wave of positive COVID-19 tests as several players have been placed into the league’s Health & Safety protocols over the past 72 hours, resulting in some games being postponed.

Gentry told Adrian Wojnarowkski of ESPN that he is feeling “mostly asymptomatic” other than a sore throat, while it is unclear if Bagley or Davis are showing any symptoms. Davis had contracted COVID-19 shortly before training camp in late September and told the media that his arrival to camp was almost delayed.

More information is expected to come regarding all four of Bagley, Davis, Holmes and Gentry on Friday afternoon during acting head coach Doug Christie’s media availability.
