Tom Brady is calling it a career–and this time, he says that it’s “for good.”

The 45-year-old took to social media on Wednesday morning to share that he will retire from the NFL after 23 memorable seasons.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, three-time league MVP and 15-time Pro Bowler, retires with the most passing touchdowns (649), passing yards (89,214), pass attempts, and pass completions in NFL history.

The longtime New England Patriot joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the 2020 season and secured his seventh and final Lombardi trophy in 2021 when the Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

Over seven Super Bowl championships, Tom Brady secured the Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player award honor five times.

There was plenty of speculation surrounding Brady’s status, as many believed the future Hall of Famer would lace up for one more season. Instead, the longtime quarterback will say goodbye to the game of football and journey into the next chapter of his career.

What lies in that next chapter? Brady reportedly signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to become an in-game analyst for FOX Sports, beginning at the conclusion of his playing career.

Although Brady has retired from football, you still will be able to see and hear from “the goat” every Sunday on the broadcast for years to come.
