“The Last Dance,” which takes a look at the 1998 season of the Chicago Bulls, is one of the most watched documentaries from ESPN.

But did you know director Jason Hehir has a Sacramento connection? He also directed Down in the Valley, which centers around the attempted relocation of the Sacramento Kings to Seattle. That documentary has not yet premiered.

Hehir joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross Tuesday morning to talk about the success of the documentary.

Topics discussed include:

  • The lengthy development of “The Last Dance”
  • What the original air date of the documentary was going to be
  • Jason not expecting the memes that would come out of his documentary
  • Labeling President Barack Obama as a “former Chicago resident”
