The NBA released the schedule for the entire 2022-23 season today.

We know what the Kings’ schedule looks like, they open the season on Wednesday, Oct. 19, against the Portland Trail Blazers. But what games should fans be excited to watch outside of Sacramento?

10 NBA Schedule Matchups Fans Should Be Excited For

  • The New Orleans Pelicans open their season at Brooklyn against the Nets on Oct. 19. Why is this important? This should be the first time fans see Ben Simmons in a Brooklyn uniform and the long-awaited return of Zion Williamson.
  • Rudy Gobert faces off against his former teammates on the Utah Jazz for the first time on Oct. 21. Gobert was traded by the Jazz to the Timberwolves over the summer.
  • An Eastern Conference Finals rematch between the Heat and Celtics takes place on Oct. 21
  • A Western Conference Finals rematch between the Warriors and Mavericks happens on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
  • Darvin Ham and the Los Angeles Lakers head to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks on Dec. 2. Ham was an assistant coach with the Bucks, helping them win an NBA Championship in 2021.
  • The NBA on Christmas has become a tradition and the league has set up some exciting matchups this year. The Bucks take on the Celtics, the 76ers face off against the Knicks, the Suns battle the Nuggets, the Laker go head-to-head with the Mavericks and the Warriors meet the Grizzlies in what is expected to be a heated affair.
  • The NBA likes to highlight Atlanta and Memphis on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This year, the Miami Heat take on the Atlanta Hawks and the Phoenix Suns travel to Memphis for a meeting with the Grizzlies.
  • The top two picks in the NBA Draft, Paolo Banchero and Chet Holmgren, meet for the first time on Jan. 20, 2023.
  • Dejounte Murray faces off against his former team for the first time when the Hawks take on the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 11, 2023.
  • The defending champion Golden State Warriors take on their NBA Finals foes the Boston Celtics first in the Bay Area on Dec. 10, then again in Boston on Jan. 19, 2023.
