More than 24 hours has passed since the San Francisco 49ers trimmed down their roster from 80 to 53 men, as the ripple effects are still being felt across the league.

The decision to keep former starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has led head coach Kyle Shanahan and the front office to letting go of veteran QB Nate Sudfeld. San Francisco instead chose the cheaper option in rookie Brock Purdy to round out the hierarchy at quarterback.

San Francisco also made a waiver claim Wednesday, adding offensive lineman Blake Hance to the active roster. The move consequently forced the 49ers to waive former third-round pick Trey Sermon from the team.

With the active roster full for the moment, let’s take a look at who made the practice squad and who got signed elsewhere.
