Each time that a new edition of NBA 2K is released, there are arguments over which player deserves a higher or lower rating. It happens every year–no exceptions–and there will always be something that gets NBA fans riled up about their favorite team or player.

“He’s only an 85?!”

“How is his three-point rating only an 83?”

“He was rated higher last season than this year?! HOW?!”

Well, it’s time to saddle up for another edition of ‘Critique Those NBA 2K Ratings’ as NBA 2K23 is set to be released on Thursday. Here are the reported ratings for the 2022-23 Sacramento Kings:

Domantas Sabonis – 87

De’Aaron Fox – 86

Harrison Barnes – 80

Richaun Holmes – 76

Kevin Huerter – 76

Keegan Murray – 75

Trey Lyles – 75

Terence Davis – 75

Malik Monk – 75

Alex Len – 74

Davion Mitchell – 74

Chimezie Metu – 74

Quinn Cook – 73

Kent Bazemore – 72

KZ Okpala – 71

Sam Merrill – 71

Neemias Queta – 70

Matthew Dellavedova – 69

Unsurprisingly, Domantas Sabonis is Sacramento’s highest-rated player at 86 as the two-time All-Star is set to begin his first full season as the Kings’ center. The surprise with Sabonis’ rating is that he holds a 74 rating from three-point land, which lines up with the rating of Trey Lyles (shot 36 percent from beyond the arc over 24 games with the Kings in 2021-22).

Sabonis has been working with NBA shooting coach Lethal Shooter this offseason as he hopes to improve on his outside game this upcoming season.

The real debate surrounding the Sacramento Kings’ ratings is De’Aaron Fox’s number of 84, one that appears a tad low for a player that has averaged 24.2 points, 6.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over the past two seasons.

Other notable ratings for the Kings:

Top three-point shooters

  • Barnes – 84
  • Monk – 82
  • Huerter – 81
  • Cook – 81
  • Bazemore 79

Keegan Murray’s three-point rating is not listed on 2kratings.com.

Top dunkers

  • Barnes – 81
  • Fox – 80
  • Monk – 80
  • Okpala – 80
