The final practice of the week brought some good news for the San Francisco 49ers as defensive tackles Arik Armstead and Javon Kinlaw both returned to the field Saturday.

Armstead, a Sacramento native, has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his foot since sustaining the injury during last week’s prep. The issue kept the defensive lineman out of the following three practices, eventually forcing him to miss his first game since the 2017 season.

Meanwhile, Kinlaw showed up on the injury report this week with a knee problem. The 2020 first-round draft pick out of South Carolina has had some injury trouble in the past, suffering a torn ACL in 2021 that ended his campaign after only four games.

Both players appear to be a bit hobbled during the media portion of Saturday’s practice, but defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans doesn’t feel they’ll be on the sidelines for long.

“Yeah, those guys will be out there for us. They’ll be fine. Yeah.,” Ryans stated Friday. “Well, I’m not talking about them playing [this week]. I’m just saying those guys will be fine for us.”

Not making an appearance on the practice field Saturday is safety Tarvarius Moore (hamstring), tight end Tyler Kroft (knee), running back Ty Davis-Price and left tackle Trent Williams (ankle). TE Ross Dwelley did practice in a limited fashion Saturday, donning a blue non-contact jersey as he recovers from a rib injury.

The official injury report comes later this afternoon from head coach Kyle Shanahan.

UPDATE: Kyle Shanahan confirmed Saturday that Arik Armstead and Javon Kinlaw will be questionable for Monday Night Football.
