On Thursday, Kings assistant coach Jay Triano joined Cattles & Ramie to discuss Keegan Murray’s health, De’Aaron Fox’s improved play, and the biggest defensive adjustments the Kings can make, especially at the end of games.

Topics discussed include:

  • The different starting lineup options with Keegan Murray out with an injury.
  • How the depth of the team has helped the Kings.
  • If the Kings played harder because they were on national television in a game against the Brooklyn Nets.
  • Statistically, De’Aaron Fox is shooting his second-highest percentage from the three-point line in his career. Coach Jay Triano explains how that has come about.
  • The Kings try to attempt 40 three-point shots a game and the coaches challenge the players to get smart shots in games.
  • Describing the style of basketball the Kings try play in each and every game
  • How the team “bought-in” to the culture and style of Mike Brown faster than he’s seen in the past
  • What the team can do to improve its defensive rating
