From former teammates to NBA Players of the Week.

Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for his efforts during the week of November 14-20th.

Fox’s former teammate Tyrese Haliburton received the Eastern Conference honors as the Indiana Pacers guard averaged 21.0 points, four rebounds, and 11 assists per game during a 3-0 week for his new team.

Fox has been the leading charge behind Sacramento’s current six-game winning streak as the 24-year-old averaged 25.0 points and 8.0 assists per game while shooting 60 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the three-point arc during a 3-0 week.

According to the Kings, Fox is the third player in franchise history to receive Player of the Week honors on three or more occasions, joining Chris Webber (seven times) and DeMarcus Cousins (five times).

The fifth-overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft has been named Player of the Week twice before–on February 8, 2021, and March 29, 2021.

Over 14 appearances this season, Fox has made his case for an All-Star spot as the guard is averaging 25.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting career-bests 55 percent from the field and 38 percent from beyond the three-point arc over 31.7 minutes per contest.

Sacramento is playing its best basketball in over a decade as they will look to extend their six-game winning streak (the franchise’s longest since 2005) on Tuesday night when they face the Memphis Grizzlies.
