The Sacramento Kings are refusing to lose games, and they have a high-powered offense to thank for their seven-game winning streak.

Although the Kings had a six-game streak of scoring 120+ points snapped during Tuesday’s 113-109 win against the Memphis Grizzlies, they made history by crossing the 110-point mark for the seventh-straight game, something that the franchise hasn’t done in over 50 years.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Sacramento hasn’t scored 110 points in seven-straight wins since October-November, 1965 when the franchise was known as the Cincinnati Royals.

During Sacramento’s winning streak, they have averaged an eye-popping 128.9 points while shooting 53 percent from the field and 37 percent from the field. Players like De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis have done a great job of orchestrating the ball-movement as the Kings have averaged 30.1 assists during the seven-game stretch.

The Kings currently lead the NBA in points per game (120.9), field goal percentage (49%), and two-point field goal percentage (59%) while holding the second-best offensive rating (118.3) in the league.

Fox and Sabonis are both making cases for February’s NBA All-Star game, while new additions Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk have been lethal from beyond the three-point arc.

Huerter has been one of the best three-point shooters–if not the best–in the entire league as ‘Red Velvet’ will enter play on Wednesday with the league’s fifth-best three-point field goal percentage (50%) after converting 59 three-pointers over the first 16 games of the season.

Sacramento has weapons on the offensive end and a deep bench that is averaging 40.6 points per game (fifth in the NBA), which makes them a much more dangerous opponent as they aren’t just five or six players deep like recent years.

Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant said this week that the Kings are “a tough team for anybody in the league”, and that appears to be very true as they currently sit in third place in the Western Conference standings after jumping out to a 10-6 start.
