Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown spoke to the media following the team’s first practice after their three-game road trip. The team went 1-2 on the trip, snapping a seven-game winning streak, with rookie Keegan Murray struggling.

Coach Brown discussed the results of the team’s road trip, why he remains hopeful of Keegan Murray despite the rookie’s recent struggles, the late collapse in Boston and much more. Murray is averaging just over 10 points this season but has only scored over 10 points once in the past five games.

The Sacramento Kings entered the 2022-23 season hoping to break a 16-year playoff drought. After hiring Mike Brown as the team’s new coach, the Kings drafted Keegan Murray with the number four overall pick. They continued to make moves over the summer, trading for Kevin Huerter and signing multiple free agents, including guard Malik Monk.
