Sacramento Kings TV play-by-play broadcaster Mark Jones joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Tuesday morning to talk about the upcoming 6-game road trip that takes the Kings across the Midwest and East Coast.

During this stretch of games, the Kings face off against the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and other highly-ranked teams in the Eastern Conference.

Topics discussed include:

  • Domantas Sabonis’s expectations as he faces off against Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo and other big men on the upcoming road trip
  • Sabonis should get praise for recent rim protection
  • How recent slumps hitting players haven’t impacted the win column
  • There are still a couple more levels before the Sacramento Kings hit their ceiling
  • “Harrison Barnes hasn’t played even close to his best basketball and Sacramento is still in 5th place in the Western Conference.”
  • The team’s defensive rating is going to keep going up as they continue to learn coach Mike Brown’s style
  • What other coaches, broadcasters and teams are asking about the Sacramento Kings
