Josh Jacobs will have some time to heal.

In Thursday night’s one-point loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the NFL’s leading rusher appeared to injure his pinkie finger in the second half. He exited the game briefly but returned to finish for 99 yards and a touchdown.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jacobs underwent X-Rays during the game that came back negative.

“The pinkie, which appeared to be dislocated because it had to be popped back into place, is the subject of tests this morning. It remains to be seen whether or not there’s additional issues, torn ligaments or if there’s something that needs to be corrected here. The fact Jacobs went back into the game is thought to be a good sign.”

Josh Jacobs currently leads all running backs with 1,402 yards. With four games left in the season, the Raiders running back has already set a single-season career best. His previous high for rushing yards in a single season was 1,150 in his rookie year.

ESPN currently projects Jacobs will finish the year with 1,833 total rushing yards. If he’s able to do that, Jacobs will become the Raiders’ single-season rushing leader, surpassing the 1,759 yards Marcus Allen set in 1985.

The Raiders‘ next game is Sun, Dec. 18, against the New England Patriots.
