Sean Manaea is apparently returning to the Bay Area.

According to a report from New York Post’s Jon Heyman, the San Francisco Giants have agreed to a two-year, $25 million deal with left-handed pitcher Sean Manaea. The deal includes an opt-out clause after 2023.

The 30-year-old pitcher spent the 2022 season with the San Diego Padres where he recorded 8 wins and 9 losses on a 4.96 ERA. He started 28 games.

Manaea spent his first six years with the Oakland Athletics before he was traded to San Diego. With the A’s, he amassed a 50-41 record with a 3.86 ERA.

So far this offseason, the Giants have brought back Joc Pederson and signed outfielder Mitch Haniger. The team was in the running for Aaron Judge, but the AL MVP chose to re-sign with the New York Yankees.
