SF Giants move past Correa drama; agree to deals with pitcher, outfielder

The San Francisco Giants are moving past the Carlos Correa drama by adding pitching and outfield help.
According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Giants and left-handed pitcher Taylor Rogers have agreed to a three-year, $33 million deal.
If you’re thinking that last name sounds familiar, it’s because there already is a Rogers in the SF Giants bullpen, Taylor’s twin brother Tyler. CBS Sports reports the two Rogers brothers could be the first twin brothers to play together since Jose and Ozzie Canseco did it across the Bay in Oakland for the Athletics in 1990.
The 32-year-old Taylor is coming off a season where between the San Deigo Padres and Milwaukee Brewers, he posted a 4.76 ERA.

The Giants weren’t done there. Another report Friday, this one first from USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, says San Francisco and outfielder Michael Conforto agreed to a 2-year, $36 million deal. His deal also includes an opt-out clause following the 2023 season.
Conforto missed the entire 2022 season due to shoulder surgery. In seven seasons with the New York Mets, the 29-year-old outfielder hit .255 with an OBP of .356.
