Two games in and the 49ers could be heading to Arizona for Super Bowl LVII.

First, they have to travel to Philadelphia to take on the 1-seed Eagles in the NFC Championship game. This is the third conference title game in four seasons for San Francisco, losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the same game last season, 20-17.

The Red & Gold outlasted the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC divisional round last week, holding their opponents to 12 points. Meanwhile, Philadelphia was impressive in their 2023 playoff debut, routing the New Y0rk Giants, 38-7.

San Francisco does has a significant lead over the home team though, possessing a 19-14-1 all-time record with Philly. The two sides last met Week 2 of the 2021 regular season, resulting in the 49ers beating the Eagles, 17-11.

A meeting between the best offense and defense, the 49ers don’t plan to make the occasion bigger than it is. Instead, choosing to go about it as another day at work.

“It’s business as usual, man,” defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans said this week. “That’s what I love about our guys. Every time we go out to practice, the way our guys work each and every day, it is consistent and that’s what it takes. Not making it bigger than what it is. We understand the stakes, understand where we are, we’re thankful to be playing at this time, but we also understand that we have to go out and execute and play really good football on Sunday. We have to be the best team within that three and a half hours.”

What time does the playoff game game start?

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. PST on Sunday, Jan. 29th at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Where can I watch the game?

The game will air live on FOX. Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play) and Greg Olson (color analyst) will be on the call. Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi (sideline reporters) will join them.
