NFLPA survey: 49ers rank 7th on first-ever facilities’ report card
The San Francisco 49ers received glowing remarks on the NFLPA's first-ever report card, ranking seventh among franchises Wednesday.

The San Francisco 49ers posted one of the best GPAs in the NFL based on team facilities over the last 12 months.
The NFLPA released its’ first-ever report card for NFL organizations Wednesday, ranking the 49ers as the seventh-best run franchise in the league. In an effort to help free agents understand each team, the NFLPA sent out a questionnaire to every player on 2022 rosters last March, asking for input on their current teams. A total of 1,300 players responded in the month of data collection, according to its’ website.
San Francisco received some of the best marks around the NFL, ranking top-10 in practically every category graded. Only one area is concerning for future 49ers: The Training Room, graded a “C+” by the 2022 SF roster.

The responses for the team were positive in all but one section: the training room, a crucial area for players to rehab and recover. The tubs and rehab pool are viewed as small and there are a lack of tables and space in the training room itself.
Jed York ranked 7th among team owners for his willingness invest money into upgrading their facilities, so there is a belief that investment will be made to ensure these areas are upgraded to meet the high standards set by the rest of the facilities.
The latter is especially true, with the York family providing ample resources for players & the coaching staff alike. If head coach Kyle Shanahan needs something, Jed York is happy to oblige in getting his players the proper care/training they need. And others have taken notice, including star pass rusher Nick Bosa, hoping to stick around the Bay for lesser money because of the phenomenal treatment he’s received by the organization.
“I’d love to be here, for sure,” Bosa said last month about staying in The Bay. “This is a great organization, they treat me as good as you can and I have amazing relationships here.”
