Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk spoke to the media on Thursday to share some thoughts on the team’s 4-0 start to the post-All-Star stretch, recap last week’s memorable matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, and look forward to this weekend’s back-to-back at Golden 1 Center.

Monk, who exploded for a career-high 45 points during last Friday’s double-overtime 176-175 win over the Clippers, helped form the first Kings duo in franchise history to both score 40+ points in a single game.

The other player? Monk’s college teammate and good friend, De’Aaron Fox, who finished the night with 42 points.

Sacramento will return to action on Friday night when they face one of the teams beneath them in the standings as Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers come to Golden 1 Center. The Kings will play the first game of a back-to-back before facing the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
