Reports: Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey traded to the Miami Dolphins
A blockbuster deal Sunday, as CB Jalen Ramsey has been traded to the Miami Dolphins for a third-round pick in this year's draft.

With only a few days to go before NFL free agency, star cornerback Jalen Ramsey has been traded out of the NFC West.
The former all-Pro CB for the Los Angeles Rams has reportedly been traded to the Miami Dolphins Sunday, further enhance the team’s vision for a rebuild. Ramsey will now join Mike McDaniel’s squad of talented football players in South Florida. For his services, Miami will send the No. 77 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, and tight end Hunter Long to LA.
CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson was first with the report, stating the deal was in “deep discussions” at the time.
“I’m told the Rams & the Dolphins are in deep discussions on a trade for CB Jalen Ramsey,” Anderson said, via Twitter. A deal is not finalized, but there’s ‘a high likelihood’ it happens, at this time, per a league source. A lot of teams are interested in Ramsey, but the focus is on where he wants to be.”
A few minutes later, ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed that the deal was done. Ramsey will head back to Florida for at least the next two seasons.

Looking to overhaul the roster this year, the Rams have been discussing a Ramsey trade for a few weeks now, finally finding a suitor in South Beach. As a part of the deal, the star CB gets to play in his preferred destination, while also getting the final two years of his contract fully guaranteed.

Making his sixth-straight Pro Bowl in 2022, Ramsey has been one of the premier secondary members in the NFL for some time. 2022 was another example of that, recording a career-high 88 combined tackles, 18 passes defended, four INTs, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
