NBC Sports California analyst and former Sacramento Kings forward Kenny Thomas joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross Wednesday morning to talk about getting on the same level as the elite teams in the Eastern Conference and potential playoff matchups.

Topics discussed include:

  • How do the Kings, in the future, get to the same level as the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers?
  • “You got to keep in mind, the Kings are young and people don’t realize that this is their first full year playing together,” Thomas said. “What they’ve accomplished so far is unbelievable and it’s actually amazing to me because I’m able to see a lot of different things, like how they were.”
  • How aware was Kenny of the standings when he played for the Sacramento Kings?
  • Is this roster built for a championship or are there still tweaks that still need to be made?
  • “They are a team that can go to the Western Conference [Finals] this year,” Thomas said. “But, you got to remember, the Kings have no experience when it comes to the playoffs.”
  • Which teams does Kenny not want to see against the Kings in the playoffs
