It looks like the San Francisco 49ers will be in the market for another rookie quarterback this spring, holding a private workout with Pac-12 standout Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

The 49ers reportedly held a private workout for DTR within the last few weeks, according to KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson Tuesday. While there was no further information regarding Thompson-Robinson’s workout with the Red & Gold, Wilson listed several other teams that the player has met with, or will meet with, in the coming weeks.

Among the teams listed was the Las Vegas Raiders, as DTR is expected to attend their local pro day later this month.

A five-year starter, DTR finished college with 10,710 passing yards, 88 passing TDs and 36 INTs. A dual-threat QB out of the backfield, he also had 1826 rushing yards and 28 solo scores, making him dangerous in the open field. Under coach Chip Kelly, Dorian Thompson-Robinson improved his decision-making and accuracy over the years, showing that experience has paid off for him.

He still has work to do though. Judgment and vision concerns still linger, likely leaving him battling for a roster spot in the fall.

At the NFL scouting combine, he ran a 4.56 40-yard dash with a 1.51 10-yard split. He also had a 32.5 inch vertical, a 10’1″ broad jump, a 7.28 three-cone drill and a 4.44 short shuttle.
