SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 22: Domantas Sabonis #10 of the Sacramento Kings goes up to shoot and gets fouled by Ivica Zubac #40 of the LA Clippers during the first quarter of the game at Golden 1 Center on October 22, 2022 in Sacramento, California. Jason Anderson, Sacramento Kings reporter for the Sacramento Bee, joined Cattles & Ramie Wednesday to discuss Monte McNair winning Executive of the Year, how center Domantas Sabonis can improve his game, and more.

When asked if there’s any long-term concern about the Golden State Warriors exposing some of Sabonis’s weaknesses, Anderson said there should be some, but the Kings’ center will spend the summer adjusting his game.

“Domas addressed it himself, and he said, ‘Look, I need to be more confident taking that shot.’ I know he’s going to spend a lot of time over the summer working on it. It’s kind of weird, he had range out to the three-point line during a stretch in the season,” Anderson said, adding the team needs to address this before next season.

Topics discussed include:

  • Davion Mitchell playing only eight minutes in the Kings’ Game 7 loss to the Warriors
  • Would any adjustments have slowed Steph Curry down in Game 7?
  • The Warriors looking tired in their Game 1 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers
  • Missed rebounds were a bigger impact than not stopping Curry
  • What are the top needs the team should address before next season?
