Kevin Huerter and the Sacramento Kings had many memorable moments throughout the 2022-23 season.

For him, there was an All-Star Game weekend appearance, game-winning shots and being a contributing factor to helping Sacramento break one of the longest playoff droughts in professional sports.

When asked about his favorite moment though, Huerter pointed to his first regular-season game as a Sacramento King.

“I think a moment I’ll never forget was game one, running onto the court, in this building, that was electric, it really was. You get the chills running down your spine. There was such a build-up for it.”

He went on to say he’ll never forget that moment and how the fans “showed out” not just for the team’s first home game, but throughout the whole season.

“You got used to it. Game two, five and seven or whatever where it was, they were doing the same thing,” Huerter said.

As he nears the one-year mark of being a King, he looked back on his experience in his first year in Sacramento.

“Everyone here is so invested in the Kings. That’s the first thing you feel when you get here. There’s not another team competing for attention. Like you go out in public and everybody’s a Kings fan, everybody’s following the Kings,” Huerter said. “It’s a great fan base.”
