2023 NBA Finals: How to watch the Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets

For the first time since 1999, an eight-seed will take on a one-seed in the NBA Finals.

In that series, the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs nearly swept the New York Knicks, winning the series 4-1, en route to the team’s first championship.

Will we see another first as the Denver Nuggets take on the Miami Heat?

Regular-season results

The Heat and Nuggets met twice during the 2022-23 season, with Denver sweeping the series. Both games were close, too, with the Nuggets winning both matchups by six points.

2023 NBA Finals schedule

The finals tipoff on Thursday, June 1, just three days after the Heat won Game 7 against the Boston Celtics. Along with Denver Nuggets 10 days of rest, they also earned home-court advantage for the series, too.
