Chris & Co. helped start the weekend with a Sacramento Kings legend.

During Friday’s edition with Whitey Gleason, legendary Sacramento Kings broadcaster, coach, and general manager Jerry Reynolds joined the guys to discuss the NBA Finals and how the Kings should attack the upcoming NBA Draft. Currently, Sacramento has the 24th pick, their lowest first-round selection since 2009.

“When you’re really good, you can draft with the idea ‘we’ve got time for this guy, he doesn’t have to play’,” Reynolds said about how the team should approach the draft. “So that makes it a lot easier cause when you’re in the lottery, you’re looking for a star and your fans are looking for a star, and quite honestly, a lot of them aren’t stars.”

Additional topics discussed include:

  • Facilitating the trade that brought Mitch Richmond to Sacramento
  • Is there anything the Miami Heat can do to slow down the Denver Nuggets
  • Why he was surprised Denver came out firing in Game 1 after 10 days of rest
  • How Miami only shot two free throws in total
  • His favorite nicknames he came up with for Kings players
