Tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers won their 14th in a row, a few of those without the Piper of the Process Joel Embiid. 2018 Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons has taken that team and put it on his huge Australian shoulders, and they are now steaming into the playoffs.

As a Kings fan, of course hindsight is 20/20, but I can’t help but wonder where we’d be had we hired Sam Hinkie the day he was fired from Philly and put him in charge. Sure, there would’ve been some tough times and a lot of anger (I’m sure I would’ve yelled with the best of them), but there aren’t a lot of teams in the NBA that wouldn’t trade spots with the Sixers.

Some would say losing Embiid for multiple seasons, then losing Ben Simmons for a season, then having the #1 pick in the draft forget how to shoot……well they’d call it bad luck. But there are some who just continue to doubt The Process, that it was all actually GOOD LUCK.

Yeah, I don’t know what to tell you. I wish the Kings could have that kind of “good luck”.

Meanwhile I’ll just be sitting here with my 24 win team salivating.
