Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report wrote an article this morning laying out the career of former Sacramento Kings star, Chris Webber, as the ultimate two-sided coin. Bucher writes on how Webber should be more recognized for his accomplishments throughout his career that include, two NCAA championship appearances, a Rookie of the Year campaign for the Golden State Warriors, and “his role in transforming the hapless Sacramento Kings into a Western Conference force.” However C-Webb’s career was not all sunshine and roses, as we all know. Webber never got the championship he coveted so greatly, often losing in the most heartbreaking of fashion (see the Timeout or the Horry shot). He also had his share of legal trouble, from his arrest in 1998 (later dismissed) or his indictment for perjury in relation to an FBI investigation on loans he accepted from a Michigan booster.

Bucher’s atricle for the most part however, is fairly complimentary to Webber’s overall career, citing multiple teammates who were more than willing to give C-Webb the praise he deserves as one of the most dynamic players of his era. Speaking on Webber’s play going against the historic 1992 “Dream Team” Chris Mullin said. “He was the best player in the gym in a few sessions. Now, Michael might’ve played 36 holes that morning, but the bottom line is he was in the gym with Michael, Bird and Magic, and at times, he was the best player out there.”

Here are some of our favorite moments of Chris Webber’s storied career!

The greatest show on hardwood.

This is mostly an insane pass from Jason Williams but it’s also just a great representation of how ridiculously fun these teams were.
