San Francisco 49ers sign former 1st-round pick
The 49ers has signed defensive lineman Taco Charlton to a one-year deal. The terms of the deal were not released.

The San Francisco 49ers have signed a former first-round pick to bolster their already threatening defensive front.
First reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the team has signed defensive lineman Taco Charlton to a one-year deal. The terms of the deal were not released. To make room on the roster, the 49ers waived safety Avery Young.
The career journeyman was picked 28th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Since then, Taco Charlton has spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Chicago Bears. Over his six-year career, he’s recorded 95 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, three passes defensed, one fumble recovery and four forced fumbles.
