Almost two years had passed since the last Sacramento Kings victory over the Utah Jazz.

In a season that has seen the Kings end losing streaks and droughts, they have crossed another skid off of the list after defeating the Jazz in Salt Lake City 119-110 on Wednesday night.

De’Aaron Fox paced the offense with his fifth double-double of the season, dishing 13 assists to go along with 17 points.

Willie Cauley-Stein recovered from a rough week of scoring with 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting, including a clutch basket to put Sacramento up 114-108 with 1:04 remaining.

In another strong showing, Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 18 points over 30 minutes of play. It looks as if the minutes restriction that was given to Bogdanovic has lifted, seeing he played fourth most minutes of any King on Wednesday.

With the win, Sacramento improved to 10-8 on the season.

Last season through 18 games, Sacramento held a 5-13 record.

This is all the more impressive when you realize Sacramento holds the eighth most difficult strength of schedule in the league, and have weathered a difficult stretch to hold a winning record heading into game number 19.

The Kings have more than exceeded expectations. They are fun to watch, playing incredibly competitive basketball, and are growing into a team that deserves respect on any given night.

And it’s all happening right in front of our eyes.

Home Sweet… Oracle?

Sacramento will look to push their winning streak to three on Saturday when they take on Kevin Durant and the struggling Golden State Warriors.

Golden State is suffering their first four-game losing streak since March of 2013.

Warrior’s forward Draymond Green, who has missed seven of his last nine games, is questionable for Saturday night with a lingering toe injury. Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry will miss Saturday’s game as he recovers from a strained groin.

Sacramento is riding a two game winning streak at Oracle Arena, winning both contests in Oakland last season.
